What are the stages involved in water purification process

We all get water supply directly to our house. We get both Hard water in addition to drinking water. But the water what we get is not the raw water. It will undergo a number of elimination procedure. Within this guide we'll know the stages of the water purification.

Aeration procedure
First raw water has been collected in tank and the whole water Will be aerated through compressor atmosphere. In this process bad odors and CO2 are removed from the raw water. Metals like iron, manganese are also eliminated .

Storing Procedure
The aerated water is stored and settled for 10 -- 15 days. During this settling process 90 percent of micro particles become settled within 24 hrs and water gets evident. Also pathogenic bacteria will die in 4-5 days. Now the present water is oxidized with microorganism.

Coagulation process
The water is moved from storage tank to coagulation tank. Here some precipitating agents like lime and alum are added to the water and mixed well. These agents will form AI(OH)3. All negatively charges colloidal impurities are neutralized by AI+++ ions.

Filtration process
In this stage the partially clarified water is additional filtered with sand gravity filter. Within this procedure, 99% of microorganisms are removed and all other impurities can also be eliminated. Beneath the filter bag there will be a collection bag that collects the filtered water.

Disinfection procedure
This is the final stage of purification is the disinfection process. Chlorination is completed as a disinfectant. This will kill the rest of the Germs and the water is now ready for use. But nevertheless we at-home use water filter cartridges to ensure the water Is pure to drink.
