Portfolio is not
only bigger in dimension from outside out of the two bags, but it weighs
heavier than padfolio which is made to carry just few pads of paper on one side
and one or two pen or other writing material on the other side. But portfolio
will hold several items more than its smaller briefcase will hold. It contains
several organizational details as well as more than one pocket. A small-sized portfolio can still hold a
computer notebook with its battery charger, some notepads and other writing
accessories. A standard-size or large portfolio should be able to take twice
these items.
What is most
imperative about your choice of either padfolio or portfolio is what you want
to use it for. You will need just a classic leather notebook or padfolio if you need something to hold items
you want to take with you to an interview or a lunch meeting. A classic
portfolio will be ideal if you want to attend a seminar or conference that will
take up to three days.
